July Newsletter

Welcome

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful July.

It has certainly been a busy month here, with exciting developments, new opportunities and, of course, plenty of writing!

A visit from my sisters -where we tried out Serenity in Deganwy. Good value for money, great ambience.

The Early Years Neurodiversity Toolkit

One of the highlights of the month has been seeing The Early Years Neurodiversity Toolkit reach readers. It has been lovely receiving such positive feedback from practitioners who are already beginning to use the practical resources and play schema observations within their own settings. https://a.co/d/0cbZNcU7

You can now download my FREE adapted VIP Skills Profile from my website. It has been completely updated and is designed to support meaningful observation and planning.

SENDcast Podcast

We recorded an episode of the SENDcast podcast, where I discussed one of my favourite topics—play schemas. It will go live on 20th August .

Play schemas have fascinated me throughout my career because they often reveal what children are thinking long before they can explain it in words.

Continuing Conversations

July has also included conversations with organisations and professionals interested in neurodiversity, inclusion and practical support. It is always encouraging to see increasing recognition that understanding neurodivergent cognition benefits everyone—not just those with formal diagnoses.

Looking Ahead

August is already shaping up to be another exciting month, with further writing, speaking opportunities and continued work developing practical resources for schools, families and professionals.

As always, my aim remains the same: to produce resources that are grounded in experience, practical in application and focused on helping neurodivergent children and young people flourish.

Thank You

Finally, thank you to everyone who continues to read my books, attend presentations, download resources and share ideas with colleagues. Your encouragement and support mean a great deal, and it is always rewarding to hear how the resources are being used in real classrooms and settings.

Wishing you all a wonderful August.

Best wishes,
