A lovely story about Seren, a young teen who has a natural drive towards fashion and fashion design. She takes a trip to Wales to stay with her aunt and they visit various places and people. A very welsh tone throughout which adds to the atmosphere. Overall a lovely warm tale of innocence and teenage thinking.

Seren and The Molly Malones: Second Book In Series

A good read for teens and tweens.

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 January 2026

Format: Kindle Edition

A sewing competition doesn’t sound like the ideal background for adventure but read on because it works really well in this cozy tween mystery. This is the second book in the Seren series and it follows a young Welsh fashionista and her friends. With themes of friendship and female empowerment and warnings about staying safe on social media – its a good read for teens and tweens without being preachy. Relatable characters and an interesting story.

Seren’s Christmas Encounter With Autism: Third Book In Series

Nicole

5 out of 5 stars

deeply empathetic

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 October 2025

Format: Kindle Edition

This book touched my heart in ways I didn’t expect. The author handles autism with sensitivity: it’s never reduced to a label, but explored through Seren’s experiences, emotions, and relationships.

The story doesn’t shy away from the difficulties — sensory overwhelm, communication gaps, the sense of being misunderstood — but these moments are woven with warmth, love, and the possibility of connection. There are small scenes where pure joy peeks through, where family members try to understand each other more deeply, and where Seren’s uniqueness becomes something precious rather than “other.”

I like how this playful story turns counting into a fun game with silly surprises along the way. I think the backwards counting twist makes it extra engaging, especially for little ones just starting to learn numbers. Great pick for toddlers who love monkey antics and learning through play.
