Sensory Processing Issues

If you sever the ophthalmic from the trigiminal nerve ,from beak to brain of a pigeon then the pigeon can no longer follow the magnetic field . This correlates with a sensory deprivation and demonstrates just how important our senses are to us.

In 2021 it was also discovered that birds who travelled long distances have a particular molecule in the eye that may allow a bird to actually see the earths magnetic field. And so a pigeon is using many of its senses in order to navigate, in order to fly.
