I talk about Play Schemas at the World Education Conference

Here is the song I made up . You can listen to the tune when I sing it at the conference .

Play schemas play schemas what are they all about

Line em up line em up

I need them in a row cos I’m stuck in the positioning schema until my brain says I can go

Round and round and round I go I like to be in a whirl cos I’m stuck in the rotatation schema and my brain says stay  there girl

One block, two blocks three blocks four .I’m stuck in the connecting schema and I need to build some more.

Upside down and back to front  different points of view  I’m stuck in the orientation schema and I don’t know what to do

Hop on board my carrying truck and I’ll take you anywhere cos I’m stuck in the transporting schema and so it’s only fair

Do you want a cut bandaged or a  a gift wrapped up in foil ? Cos I’m stuck in the enveloping schema and it’s taking quite a while

Mix a muddy cake pop it in the pan taste that muddy cake I’m the transformation man. Transformation  schema isnt any joke, hold the mix in your mouth too long and you might choke.

Let’s just close that gate, let’s just shut that door. I need to check once more. I’m stuck in the enclosing schema and it’s proving such a bore.

I need to throw , turn on those taps

Or watch that missile fly

Im stuck in the Trajectory schema and I don’t know why

Play schemas play schemas ….That’s what it’s all about.
